TR90 frame
TR90 is a special polymer that allows for a very flexible lightweight frame that is also strong and retains shape. This flexibility means that it reduces pressure points meaning less fatigue when worn for long periods.

Sprung Hinges
It is very rare to find sprung hinges on a TR90 frame as TR90 is already very flexible. With the addition of sprung hinges it makes these glasses even more comfortable. Sprung hinges allow for over extension of the temple(arm) this means that as you wear the glasses they find their own optimum pressure to hold to your head driven by the hinge rather than just the flexibility of the frame material. The result is the most comfortable glasses to wear and it makes them suitable for the wider face. People who have a wider face/head profile often suffer from headaches when wearing sunglasses. This can be from a combination of things and the less obvious is the frame. The reason this happens is the wider head profile with a normal pair of sunglasses means the glasses sit tighter than tnormal. This in turn creates pressure points. These pressure point gradually tire the wearer and cause headaches. The combination of TR90 and sprung hingers redues this.

TAC Polarised Lens
Polarised lenses reduce surface glare and remove high points of light. This makes them excellent for general lifestyle use. In particular they are good when surface glare is a problem, around water, snow or off a wet road surface. In addition because of the polarisation process the lenses are more scratch resistant than normal.

G15 Lens

The G15 lens is a specialist lens originally developed for aviation use. Due to restrictions pilots should not wear polarised lenses because of being able to view instrumentation correctly . However air force pilots were suffering with headaches from prolonged glare using normal sunglasses. The G15 lens was developed by adding the colour green to the lens. The number 15 referred to 15% of light being allowed through. This meant that the lens not only stopped 100% UV but eliminated 85% of the glare without having to be polarised. As the Vito is not designed for aviation use we can create a fusion of the best of both worlds. By having both the G15 coulr and the TAC polarised filter it creates the ultimate anti glare option.
